Product Description
HM-CRP100N (PE100) is a high-performance natural polyethylene (PE100) resin designed specifically for pipe applications. Manufactured by the suspension polymerization of ethylene monomer, this bi-modal high-density polyethylene (HDPE) features 1-Butene as a co-monomer, providing superior mechanical properties and processability. Its primary usage is in pressure pipes for gas and water transportation where high strength and resistance to pressure are required. Due to its excellent properties, HM-CRP100N (PE100) is an ideal solution for applications that require durability, higher pressure ratings, and thinner walls compared to conventional PE80.

Characteristic Features of HM-CRP 100N (PE100)
-
Natural PE100 Resin
HM-CRP 100N (PE100) is a natural resin, meaning it is produced without any pigments or UV stabilization during manufacturing. This makes it a versatile base material for applications where specific color or UV properties can be added during further processing. -
Bi-modal HDPE with 1-Butene Co-monomer
The inclusion of 1-Butene as a co-monomer in this bi-modal polyethylene provides improved mechanical strength and enhanced processability. This allows HM-CRP 100N (PE100) to meet the stringent requirements of high-pressure pipe applications, such as those found in gas and water transport systems. -
High Density
With a density of 0.948 g/cm³, HM-CRP100N exhibits the typical properties of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), offering excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and low moisture absorption, making it suitable for use in pipe systems that need to withstand various environmental factors. -
Flow Rate Ratio (FRR)
The FRR of 28 signifies the ability of HM-CRP100N to maintain a stable performance under different load conditions during manufacturing processes. This is beneficial for molding and extrusion, ensuring that pipes produced from this resin have uniform quality and performance. -
Hydrostatic Strength
With a hydrostatic strength of 5000 hours at 80°C under 4.5 N/mm² pressure, HM-CRP100N (PE100) is particularly well-suited for pressure pipe applications, where it must withstand continuous exposure to high pressure, ensuring the longevity and reliability of gas and water pipes. -
Melt Flow Rate (MFR)
The MFR of 6.2 g/10min at 190°C with a 21.6 kg load indicates that HM-CRP100N is relatively easy to process under standard conditions. Additionally, the MFR of 0.22 g/10min at a lower 5.0 kg load reflects the material’s high viscosity and resistance to flow when under low-stress conditions, which makes it ideal for maintaining structural integrity in high-pressure environments. -
Notched Impact Strength
The notched impact strength of 24 mJ/mm² at 23°C shows that HM-CRP100N is highly resistant to impact and capable of performing well under mechanical stress. This is crucial in transportation and installation of pipelines, as they often face physical impacts and pressure surges.
Main Applications of HM-CRP 100N (PE100)
-
PE100 Pressure Pipes
HM-CRP100N is primarily used for PE100 pipes that are designed for high-pressure transportation of gas and water. It allows for the production of pipes with thinner walls compared to PE80 pipes while maintaining the same pressure resistance, which reduces material usage and cost without compromising performance. -
Gas and Water Transportation
Ideal for gas and water transportation systems, HM-CRP100N offers the strength, chemical resistance, and durability needed to handle long-term exposure to both pressure and various chemicals, ensuring a reliable system for utilities. -
UV Stabilization and Customization
During further processing, UV stabilization and pigments can be added to HM-CRP100N to provide additional resistance to ultraviolet degradation, which is crucial for outdoor pipe installations exposed to sunlight.
Additives in HM-CRP 100N (PE100)
-
Antioxidant/Process Stabilizer:
Ensures long-term stability and reduces the risk of oxidation during processing, preserving the integrity of the material and ensuring consistent product quality. -
Lubricant/Acid Scavenger:
The addition of lubricants and acid scavengers aids in reducing friction during the extrusion process and protects the resin from the degradation caused by acids or other reactive species.
